Sally's character was just a victim of bad writing mainly from Ken Penders, Karl Bollers, and Mike Gallagher.-In fact, they didn't even write Sonic right. I love the way Ian writes her. That's how I see her. In all honesty, I really don't care that she is not in any of the games and for some reason that excites me to like her even more. I actually prefer Sally over Amy, I just don't like the cliche Japanese kawaii love of a girl most of the time throwing her self all over a guy. I like the traditional opposites attract character of the female love interest American characters way more.
The Sonic creators wanted Sonic to be based off of American's, anyway and Sega isn't perfect, they don't always make the right decisions just like Archie comics and I factor all that in. Sonic isn't even that famous in Japan, but he is famous in America thanks to America's aggressive advertising. Sally seems like an all around American girl to me. The comics are actually sent to Japan 6 months ahead of time for confirmation and I believe Sega of America has earned the right to have their own cannon, because not only did they help get Sonic his final design, but they also produced Sonic 1 through Sonic and Knuckles at STI.
Nothing against you, though. I still over your writing. You are AMAZING!!! I had to choke the tears back. I just kind of wish people would take it easy on the Sally character, because it was the lame writers that wrote her like and they couldn't even write Sonic himself right.
